A: Under Maryland law, a probation before judgment is not a conviction and, as a result, no points are assessed against your Maryland driving record. A probation before judgment is granted within the discretion of the trial judge following either a plea of guilty or having been found guilty following a trial. The judge strikes the finding of guilt off of your record and grants the probation before judgment. So long as you do not violate your probation there will be no conviction and no points.
