I am very pleased for your hard work and thank you again for the great outcome out of all this mess.
Mr. Gray is not only a superb legal counselor but he is also a gifted interpreter of human behavior which gives him a distinct advantage in the courtroom.
Your compassion, patience, and support meant a great deal to all of us. We are so very grateful to have been working with you.
I couldn't have received better representation. The result of my case was beyond my own expectations.
I am truly grateful for all the help I was given. I would recommend Jimeno & Gray to represent anyone who needs legal advice. Thank you so much!!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for helping with my son's case. With your help this is now behind us and is not a part of his record.
What's an ignition interlock device and how does it come into play with a DUI in Maryland?
A: If you are convicted of a DUI in Maryland, you may be required to have an ignition interlock device installed in your vehicle. It's similar to a Breathalyzer in that you will have to breathe into it in order to start your vehicle. If you have been charged with a DUI, you should discuss your options with an Anne Arundel drunk driving defense law firm before you accept any penalties.
Overview of the Ignition Interlock Device
When you breathe into the device, if it indicates that your blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is above the limit, which has been programmed, your engine won't start.
Here's how an ignition interlock device works:
you blow into a mouthpiece;
a fuel cell analyzes your BAC;
if your BAC is too high, the fuel cell activates a relay and your engine won't start; or
if your BAC is acceptable, the fuel cell activates a relay and you will be able to start your car.
If your license has been suspended after a DUI in Maryland, you may be allowed a restricted license at some point. A restricted license will allow you to drive to:
work;
school;
a drug/alcohol treatment center; and
other places the court allows.
In many states, you can use a restricted license on the condition that you have an ignition interlock device installed in your vehicle. The driver usually has to pay for the lease and installation. Prices vary, but it typically costs around $100 for installation and $50-$100 monthly for the lease.
